Bridging Processor and Display Interface

The ultra-low power ArcticLink® III BX and ArcticLink III VX display bridging solutions bridge between the multiple interface standards used by various processors and displays for a wide range of mobile, handheld devices, industrial and medical devices where there is a mis-match between the processor output and display interfaces.

ArcticLink III BX

The ArcticLink III Bx is a low-power display bridge solution, which supports MIPI or RGB inputs from the application processor and display output of RGB, MIPI or LVDS. The device can be configured over either MIPI DCS or I2C.

ArcticLink III VX

The ArcticLink III VX is pin-identical with QuickLogic’s ArcticLink III BX solution, and adds Visual Enhancement Engine (VEE) and Display Power Optimizer (DPO) technology to the existing bridging solution. This compatibility allows system designers to easily transition from the BX to a VX device to harness the display power savings and viewability advantages only available in the VX option.
