A Few Random Items

Posted on November 2, 2011 by Tim Saxe

Happy (belated) Halloween from QuickLogic.  As you recover from the hoards of freeloading kids in search of sugary goodness, a few random items and thoughts for today:

(1)    So…battery life is important to users?

(2)    CES

We’ve been asked, and yes, we will be at CES this year.  More information will follow towards the middle of December.

(3)    Pico Projectors

You heard a bit on the earnings call about pico’s.  Expect more from us in the coming months on pico projectors.  By more, I mean in the vein of technologies and solutions.

(4)    Pantech phone

For those of you who have seen/handled the Pantech phone, you already know this: the ‘Eco’ setting on the top toolbar is indeed an ‘on/off’ button for VEE and DPO.  We’ll be doing a video blog showing this, which should be up in the next week or so.  As apparently the only one at QuickLogic brave enough to host the videos, the gating item right now is the fact I have no voice after 30 hours of plane rides, three time zones, and two weddings in the past week.  We’ll post it here soon.

(5)    DigiTimes Technical Forum

Many folks have pegged the early December DigiTimes Technical Forum as their anticipated day for public introduction of the next generation of VEE and DPO.  I am not officially confirming anything, but I will say that a number of us do enjoy visiting Asia around that time of year.

Will you make an announcement when a fix has been made to the recent Kyocera design win for the Vee/DPO component.

      Hello Jim,

Unfortunately, we cannot say anymore at this point beyond what was said on the conference call

      thanks

Maybe I missed it during the conference call, but can you discuss how much of the design production win for the BENQ tablet has contributed to your bottom line for the 3rd quarter. Thanks

      Hello Ted,

You didn’t miss it…we don’t break out revenue on a per-customer basis, simply on a new vs. legacy basis.

      Thanks

      Paul
