Paul, that second video is great. Very nicely explains the entire process. Question, can the other PSB’s that QUIK has be loaded onto the same CX chip? Second, what is the pricing difference between CX and VX? The reason I ask is because can OEM’s get VEE/DPO, RGB, WAV cheaper by just buying the VX? But looking at the video, why would you?
Thanks for the comments on the video. We do expect to have occasional video blogs to accompany both blog content here as well as press releases.
To address your questions:
* Yes, there is programmable fabric on the CX chip which does allow other PSBs to be loaded. Fabric is finite, obviously, so we wouldn’t be able to create a chip with everything in our arsenal. However, it’s enough that we can address any additional connectivity concerns our customers may have.
* We aren’t publicly stating today what the price of the CX is, other than to say that we price our products based on the value that they provide to our customers. As you’ll see in further press releases, blogs, and video blogs, the CX chip does a whole lot more than just sideloading, and we price it as such. Sorry I cannot be more specific.
