Happy Holidays!

Posted on December 16, 2010 by Tim Saxe

14 years ago, my neighbor and I found out we have a mutual interest besides playing golf – both of us really enjoy seeing great Christmas Light Displays.  While each of us did our own thing up until that point, in 1996 we decided we had the ideal set-up to join forces and combine our individual displays into one…

It started at ~25,000 lights.  We went to computer control in 2002, and in 2003 we tied the display to charity – The 2nd Harvest Food Bank.  To date, we are closing in on 1,000,000 pounds of food donated. The display has grown to ~88,000 lights, 80% of which are LEDs. These lights are divided into 219 sections that can each be individually controlled, so we can animate the lights to 44 different songs, 7 “Elf Jokes” and 3 special tributes to the World Champion San Francisco Giants.

All this and more information can be found at www.severex.com/xmas.  Come by and see us.

The display is on through January 2, 2011.
